No Sweets November!

So it's November 1st.
Chances are, you're wiping off crusty face paint and trying to remove semi-permanent hair dye from your hair,
all while feeling pretty sluggish from the sugar overload
you've been having over the past few weeks.
Weird candy you wouldn't usually like.
Treats you wouldn't normally eat.
Pumpkin this, pumpkin that.
There's a good chance you've had enough pumpkin to put you into hibernation.

Which is why five years ago my dad and I came up with a solution...
The Rules:
No Candy
No Desserts

The Exceptions:
Frozen Yogurt (no candy toppings)
Hot Chocolate
Fruit Snacks (sometimes I just need them, okay?)

The Cheat Day:
Thanksgiving!

That's pretty much it!
I've always enjoyed doing this because it helps me regain control of my body.
(I have a pretty serious sweet tooth. No secret there!)
And once I reintroduce all those festive desserts in December,
I realize I don't need them as much as I thought,
and I'm much more selective with the ones I eat.
That way I truly enjoy them!

So, who's with me?!

P.S. Lizzy, I'm sorry. I love you.
(Lizzy despises No Sweets November)
